Membership

So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

The Importance of Church Membership

At Kenmore Church of Christ, we believe that being part of a church is more than just attending on Sundays—it’s about belonging to a family, growing in faith, and participating in God’s mission together. Church membership is a vital step in committing to the life and work of the local church, and we invite you to consider what it means to be a member of Kenmore Church.

Why Membership Matters

A Commitment to Spiritual Growth - Membership signifies a commitment to grow as a disciple of Jesus. It reflects a desire to be nurtured in faith through worship, biblical teaching, and authentic Christian community. By committing to a church family, you are choosing to journey with others who will encourage, challenge, and support you in your walk with Christ.

A Place to Belong - God designed us to live in relationship with Him and one another. Church membership fosters deeper connections, providing a spiritual home where you can experience love, accountability, and encouragement. Through small groups, ministry teams, and shared life together, members form lasting relationships built on faith and mutual support.

A Call to Serve - The church is the body of Christ, and each member has a unique role to play. Membership affirms your commitment to use your God-given gifts in service to others—whether through volunteering in ministries, leading in discipleship, or engaging in community outreach. As a member, you actively contribute to the life and mission of the church.

A Shared Mission - Membership unites us in a common mission to make Jesus known. As members, we commit to living out the Great Commission together, both locally and globally. By standing together in faith, prayer, and action, we can have a greater impact for God’s kingdom in our community and beyond.

Becoming a Member

  1. Fill in the simple online form below, and we will send you a copy of the church’s Constitution and Statement of Faith. Members agree to comply with those documents, and the conditions of membership.
  2. We will then contact you to arrange an interview with one of the church elders who will hear your story of faith in Christ.
  3. Elders meet to endorse new members, who are later welcomed in a Sunday church service.
