the YouVersion App

Over 500 million people have downloaded this Bible App. Beyond the text itself, there are themed reading plans to sign-on for, and you can also collaborate with friends for accountability in your reading. The Read Scripture App

This great app breaks the scriptures into major themes. You can start at the beginning, or anywhere along the path. Each sub-section has a great little video to explain the content. Great to work through over a year, at a bit less than a section per day.

The Bible Project

Insightful short teachings to help explain the hard questions, and give introductions to books of the Bible.

Working it through:

When reflecting on scripture, and what God may be speaking to you about, it helps to write down your thoughts. As you go through the day, you may want to add further notes from your reflections. Use the following four simple steps to help you work it through:

Scripture

Note down the passage(s) you have read.

Observations

What was the passage was about, and what did you learn?

Application

How do these truths apply to your life, and how can you make it stick?

Prayer

Respond to God with thankfulness, and seek the power of His Spirit to help you apply truth to life.
